Christmas Week 2008

Lots of snow and cold weather. Beautiful but not fun driving. Joe shoveled sidewalk and driveway several times. JD, Bonnie, and Donnie took us to Spanaway Park to see the lighted displays. More scenes this year and brighter lights.

Interesting places to see

Joe and I have traveled to great places. We enjoyed the Balloon Festival in New Mexico in Oct. 03, Enjoyed the Scenery In Colorado and Utah at the Arches and Canyon Land National Parks, and the Indian ruins in Colorado. Great places to visit. Close to Casa Grande is the Greek Monastery near Florence, Az.

Atlantic Maritime Sept. 2008

A wonderful trip. We flew from SeaTac to Manchester, NH, then bus. We had planned on taking a high speed ferry to Nova Scotia, but the tail end of a hurricane made the crossing too rough, so we went by bus. Of course lots of lobster traps along the way, lighthouses, boats, etc. Beautiful scenery. We enjoyed old Quebec. We went with Discovery Tours out of Centralia, and would go with them again.

A wonderful trip from Casa Grande to the Copper Canyon Mexico. March 2008

A thank you gift from Roger and Ellen for helping out with their park model renters. What a laugh we had when they presented this gift.

Arizona Cotton Field

This picture was taken not far from our park in Casa Grande. Some cotton fields have been picked, and others have not. A spray has been put on this to defoliate the plants. Defoliation helps the leaves to dry and fall off and also helps any of the remaining unopened bolls to open.
